THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA
The Travel Club had a very enjoyable day together on Saturday, June 18th. Our first stop was at Leverock's in St. Pete for dinner. It didn't matter whether you ordered steak, chicken cordon bleu, or salmon........everyone reported that their meal was excellent. As if the good meal wasn't enough, there was cheesecake for dessert. Our next stop was the Free Fall Theatre. They always put on a fantastic production, and today was no exception.
This lush contemporary musical tells the story of Margaret and her daughter Clara on their visit to Florence in the summer of 1953. A chance meeting between Clara and a handsome young Florentine set both of their hearts ablaze. As Margaret attempted to shield her daughter from the outside world, we became aware that all is not as it seems. I'm sure all the ladies enjoyed the eye candy too! And that's all we will say. You'll just have to go and see for yourself to get the rest of the story!
